"St Kentigern himself on the Tron Steeple, looking — despite his bishop's crook — as if he's just stepped out of Earthsea. Going by its expression, though, it seems that no man is a hero to his salmon. [Kinetic sculpture by Sharmanka, 2001]" @ncdominie. Niall Murphy says he is "fascinated with how something as ancient can be renewed and given purpose most recently in 2001 with the installation of Sharmanka’s St Mungo with his bird, delicate tree canopy and bell.."" Tron Church. Possibly the oldest external Glasgow CoA in the city. @ncdominie asks, "am I right in thinking this (over the main door of the @TronTheatre) is the oldest surviving architectural example? It certainly looks like the one on p. 120 of MacGeorge's "Inquiry", though a bit battered" (pic 286 @ncd0minie) 09_04_19
